What Is a Structural Assessment?
Understanding the condition of a building and any works required is key to making investment decisions, from buying your first home to acquiring new warehousing facilities for your business or adaption and modifications.
Our expert team of Chartered Surveyors and Engineers carry out structural reports across domestic, commercial and industrial sectors, working with everyone from private individuals to global corporations.
As a practice, our expertise and capabilities include issues such as building alterations, foundation settlement and subsidence, condition surveys of building fabric and structural elements, flood damage, vehicle impact damage, fire damage, storm damage and sulphate attack. We are also highly experienced in preparing condition survey reports which can assist in the assessment and preparation of leases and schedules of dilapidation.
Once a survey is complete, we can prepare remedial works schedules, appoint contractors, prepare contracts, supervise the works and liaise with insurers where required.
Applications include buildings and industrial structures, bridges, conveyor structures, tanks, and silos.

How long does a structural survey take?
It depends on the size and complexity of the property. Residential surveys usually take 2–4 hours on-site, with a report delivered in 3–5 working days. Larger commercial sites may require more time.
Do I need structural calculations for my extension?
Yes. Most extensions require structural calculations to demonstrate compliance with building regulations.
Can you work with my architect or builder?
Absolutely. We regularly collaborate with architects and builders and can integrate into your project team as the structural specialist.
What information do you need to provide a quote?
We need the project location, structure type, scope of work, any drawings or plans, and your timeframe. The more info you provide, the more accurate your quote will be.
